Summer season is here (yeah, in California, summer starts in April). Well, at least it feels that way sometimes. In all seriousness though, now is the time to start thinking about protecting your investments from the brutal sun. Don’t put it off another year. All you have to do is pick up the phone and call NTiCarports and let us work with your budget.

If you have an RV, we can build custom structures to protect it from the sun’s damaging UV rays. If you have equipment, tractors, ski-dos, snowmobiles, whatever, we can custom make a cover to protect your toys. In almost all cases, building a custom carport is much cheaper than building a garage or other storage unit. This is because it is much easier to get city or county approval for a steel carport, RV port, etc., than it is to pull permits for a more permanent structure.

Make no mistake, our carports are engineered to withstand the tests of California’s extreme temperature swings. Your money will truly be used in the most efficient, cost-effective manner possible. If you have any questions about the process, feel free to give us a call, we’d be happy to give you some references / testimonials of our work.

Don’t put it off any longer! Summer is almost here!

To better understand the installation process of a steel carport, many manufacturers offer steel carport building installation instructions (sometimes as a DVD) that will walk you through the process step-by-step. If you order something custom, the manufacturer should be able to provide you with a set of installation instructions tailored specifically to the application. Don’t be afraid to ask for instructions or plans before you make a purchase.

Here’s some things to look for in the installation instructions:

The installation instructions should include specifications for the concrete footing and specifications for the floor, which will save precious time as you are looking at bids from concrete contractors (or if you decide to do the concrete yourself).

Keep in mind that you may need a building permit before you begin construction. To obtain the permit you will need to submit the plans (drawings and structural specs) that are certified by an engineer. These plans will need the foundation and floor design.

You’ll also need to keep in mind the tools that you will need to finish the project. Ask for a list of the required tools so you won’t be running back and forth to the hardware store all day.

With a little planning and some preparation, your steel carport installation should be a breeze.

RV Port

RV Ports are rapidly becoming more popular here at NTiCarports due to the economic downturn as people are looking for cost-effective ways to protect their investments. RV carports (or rv shelters, as they are sometimes called) can be installed in matter of a few days and are much cheaper to install than a more permanent structure, and they offer the following benefits:

RV cover, RV port houses, RV garages, whatever you want to call them, they are usually not subject to the same types of building codes as permanent structures, so all you’ll really need is a foundation that’s ready to go. Most municipalities consider RV port outbuildings and therefore they are not subject to the same building codes. It’s always a good idea to check with your city or county beforehand.

NTiCarports has RV port home plans and RV port plans to help you make the best decision for your property and your vehicle needs. Please give us a call if you have any questions and we’d be happy to provide you with the information you’re looking for. NTiCarports has been around long enough to know exactly how to solve your vehicle storage needs, and we have the testimonials to back up our work.

We’ll be posting news and updates about steel carports, garages, and RV covers.
